Marc Peeters obtained his medical degree from KU Leuven and a PhD in Medical Sciences, with further specialization in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and digestive oncology. He completed additional specialized training in digestive oncology at leading international centers, as well as management training focused on the leadership of complex healthcare organizations.

He is a full professor of oncology at the University of Antwerp and also holds international academic appointments.

His expertise includes clinical oncology, translational research, and the strategic and operational management of complex healthcare organizations, with a particular focus on personalized and precision oncology.

He previously served as CEO of Antwerp University Hospital and as Head of the Department of Oncology, where he also led the multidisciplinary oncology center. Through his current and past board positions, he brings an integrated clinical and administrative perspective to medical and technology-driven organizations.
