John-Paul Bogers is a professor of Histology and Cell Biology at the University of Antwerp. He is also the founder or board member of six Belgian and international companies (including in South Africa), all of which are driven by medical or technological innovation.

John-Paul was the principal investigator of three major clinical studies on molecular biomarkers and successfully submitted applications for 20 national, industry-funded, and international projects (including three EU-funded programs). He has been the supervisor of 13 PhD students who have defended their theses and has published more than 150 scientific articles.
